For Your Safety

It is important that you wear suitable, waterproof walking shoes or boots. We will be exploring ruins and open countryside, so there will be steep inclines, uneven ground, rocks, mud and long grass. You will need to watch your step and be mindful of your own safety, as well as that of others in the group.

It is a good idea to wear layers of clothes because the weather can change quite rapidly. Even gentle walking uphill will warm you up, but you may need to wrap up as well. Long trousers are a good idea too.

If you have any allergies, medical conditions or special needs, please let us know when you book your trip.

We do not expect to encounter the Beast of Bodmin while we are on safari — although you never know! But there will be livestock and wild ponies, and these are best admired from afar, not approached, as they can be unpredictable. Britain's only wild poisonous snake, the adder, is naturally timid but will bite if picked up or disturbed.

Our trips are about enjoyment, so we won't rush anywhere, but you will need to be able to walk at a comfortable pace for up to an hour.

Always let us know if you have any concerns.
