Altarnun Church Bodmin Moor

One of my favourite churches in Cornwall is Altarnun in Bodmin Moor. It has a lovely collection of Tudor bench ends. There are beautiful carvings of Christian and more mythical pagan images. Perhaps the pomegranate carvings are a tribute to Catherine of Aragon, much loved by the English people. The church has several features of interest. If you pay a visit please support the church with a donation.

Such a wonderful picture of a beautiful place. I have never been here, having always driven past the road sign for Altarnun – next time I won’t pass by!
