Benefits of a Private Tour
A private tour is a perfect way to see Cornwall. You can choose one of my classic tours or design your own.The flexibility that we have means we can go at the pace you want and see the things that interest you. So let me know what you would like to see on your private tour. Maybe it’s a particular landmark? Or maybe you would like a tour based around your interests? I will be pleased to plan a day or more, for you to enjoy.
My Land Rover Defender takes six passengers which is great for families. If you would like a mini-bus, for a larger group, I can arrange this too.
You can choose things that you really want to see on your private tour, and I will suggest other places we can see along the route.
Perhaps you would like a traditional pub lunch, or fancy trying a Cornish pasty? Of course I can plan our stops around this. If you want to try the local Cornish beer or wine, you will have the peace of mind of not needing to drive.
Options for Private Tours
Previous private tour groups have asked to walk in the landscape and get immersed in nature and history. So we did three days of walking with very little time in the car. Another large group had a real interest in the best photography spots and so we visited dramatic visual locations. The prehistoric stone circles and burial chambers are also popular themes. If you love the atmosphere of the ancient spiritual sites or have a more academic interest in these places, I can plan your private tour based around this.
I mix and match around set tours. So for example, the Truro, Roseland and the Rivers tour can be adapted to include part of the itinerary around Truro, followed by a trip up to St Agnes to see the amazing coastline there. One customer fitted this in with a trip to The Lizard, but it was a long day!
Or if you love gardens and Poldark we could visit the Lost Gardens of Helligan and Charleston Harbour, finishing with some tin-mining locations.
There are as many options as you can think of. I really enjoy planning those extra little stops between the main places that you have requested for your private tour. Cornwall is full of amazing surprises. The only restrictions are the practical considerations of time and distance.
