Day Tours by Design
Cornish Heritage Safaris is based in Tintagel, North Cornwall. I have designed tours around various aspects of Cornwall’s rich heritage, encompassing romantic legends and history, all situated in Cornwall’s beautiful scenery. There is a lot to see and experience.
The original set of tours were designed as days out around the North Cornwall area for my friends, so King Arthur and Bodmin Moor are quite local tours for me. Everyone seems to wave to each other in Cornwall, but around here we do all know each other.
Customers often meet me in Tintagel. If you are early the pub does breakfast. For those who would prefer not to drive, I can come to get you from your accommodation. There may be an additional charge depending on the distance.
I also meet people from the London sleeper train at Bodmin Parkway.
Day’s out which encompass The Far West of Cornwall, Truro, Roseland, The Lizard and other locations in Cornwall have developed due to customer requests. Creating these tours I have learned that there is a lot to see and do in Cornwall and a huge depth of history. I am still learning and developing new ideas.
Combination Tours
If you would like to mix and match from different tours, this may be possible. It depends upon locations and distances between places. A visit to the Eden Project can be combined with a taste of Bodmin Moor, for example. The National Trust property Lanhydrock House, can be combined with Tintagel Castle.
Bespoke Private Tours
If you are spending a few days in Cornwall and would like to do several tours, this works very well. I can suggest accommodation ideas in Boscastle and Tintagel. I can arrange a taxi for you from Newquay Airport or Bodmin Parkway. Or I can meet you at these locations as part of a day tour.
Transfers to Cornwall
I now also collect guests from ‘up-country’. I can provide transfers to Cornwall from London Heathrow airport, Gatwick airport and cruise-ship terminals. These transfers are designed to be an enjoyable additional tour option, with stops on the way to Cornwall. This may include Avebury, Glastonbury and other options
Shared Tours
I mainly provide private tours, but sharing may also be possible. If you are travelling alone or on a budget, then I can keep your details in the tour calendar. Sometimes another person or group may wish to do the same tour on the same day. These tours work out best when customers have a flexible itinerary and are staying locally in Tintagel and Boscastle.
